When a user requests information on speakers or other services, Hong Kong Speakers Bureau may collect the following Personal Information:

When a user submits an application to become an Expert Speaker, he/she may be asked to provide the following information:

  • Professional information such as claim to fame, areas of expertise, presentations (and styles), topics, links, awards and recognitions and testimonials from past events etc.

Depending upon the activity, some of the information sought is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If a user does not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, he/she will not be able to engage in that activity.

How Personal Information is used?

Hong Kong Speakers Bureau collects information in order to provide services to users and to improve products and offerings. Hong Kong Speakers Bureau does not sell or rent any personally identifiable information to third parties. Hong Kong Speakers Bureau does not share any personally identifiable information to third parties without user's prior consent

The information sought might be used to:

  • Send users the requested product or service information
  • Respond to customer service requests, questions and concerns
  • Keep users informed about special offers and new products/services and selected third parties.

  • Send booking confirmations

Users can "opt out" of receiving Hong Kong Speakers Bureau's email updates, newsletters directly within the email or by emailing lets.speak@speakin.co.

All the data is stored on secure servers on the servers provided by Hong Kong Speakers Bureau's service providers which may include external providers like Mailchimp, Microsoft, Mail Merge, and/or Google Apps etc.

How Data Security is ensured?

Sending information over the internet is generally not completely secure, and Hong Kong Speakers Bureau does not guarantee the security of user data while it in in transit. Any data sent by the user is at his/her own risk.
